AI-guided onboarding
Welcome to ResistCyber. Let's get you protected.
Six short steps, about 15 minutes of hands-on time, and your Microsoft Defender protection deploys itself. Your onboarding assistant is on the right the whole way — ask it anything.

Check your inbox
Your receipt lands right away. Your agent email — the one you need for Step 2 — follows once we finish setting up your account behind the scenes, which can take up to 20 minutes. Totally normal, so hang tight.
- Your receipt — instant. Confirms your package and payment.
- Your ResistCyber agent email — usually a few minutes, up to 20. It has your personal agent download link for Step 2.
- On a higher-tier plan? You may get a couple of follow-up setup emails as each piece comes online (for example, Microsoft 365 tenant setup).
Still nothing after 20 minutes? Check spam/junk and search “ResistCyber,” then ask the assistant “I didn't get my email” or write support@rco.it.com.
Install the ResistCyber agent
Open your onboarding email and download the installer, then run it on every device you want protected.
- Windows: double-click the installer and approve the admin prompt. It runs silently and finishes on its own.
- macOS: open the .pkg, follow the prompts, and approve the system extension when asked.
- You need local administrator rights on each device.
You'll know it worked when the device reports in as online — usually within a minute or two.
Installer won't run or blocked by a policy? Ask the assistant “installer won't run” for the quick fixes.
Protection deploys itself
Once your agent is online, the ResistCyber RMM automatically pushes your package's Microsoft Defender protection:
- Endpoint antivirus & EDR turns on and configures itself
- Automated updates and monitoring policies apply
- Higher tiers layer on server, cloud, and tenant protections
Just keep your devices powered on and connected for the first 30–60 minutes. There's nothing for you to configure.
Connect Microsoft 365
If your package includes Microsoft 365, identity, or cloud protection, we need one-time admin consent to configure Defender for Office 365, Defender for Identity, and cloud policies on your tenant.
- You'll need a Microsoft 365 Global Administrator to approve.
- Use the secure consent link in your onboarding email and approve the requested permissions.
- On Monitor or Protect? You can skip this step.
Not sure if this applies to you? Ask the assistant “does step 4 apply to my plan?”
Confirm you're protected
Within the first day you'll see everything come to life:
- Each device completes its first security scan
- Your devices show as protected and reporting in
- Your first automated status report arrives — then every two weeks after
That's your confirmation the service is fully live. No news is good news from here.
